Such a simple activity using quilling strips glued onto a small rectangle (I cut up A4 paper into 4 pieces) in any colours and pattern- stripes, criss-cross, even woven! A triangle is drawn on the reverse to cut out the Christmas tree shape, to then glue it onto a card front above a base or tree stump.

A simpler idea for Preps was using markers to draw lines (any) onto the small rectangle, cut out the triangle and add some sequins for Christmas ornaments.

Year 3 and 4 did some ‘quilling’ and a some chose to create a Christmas tree!

Paint sticks were also a winner for this – quick early finisher activity! I didn’t get photos of many of the kids cards, but there was a lovely variety of patterns and colours.

Love this idea!!!
Thanks Amy!
